Does it work? Only reason I'm asking is because COD4 has to connect to the master server first (which I assume is in America or Europe or one of those other countries that we don't live in).

If it works which Local Cap provider is best???
 
It requires an Authentication to Punkbuster (the anticheat)

You would need to set up RouteSentry
 
It works fine on my local only account, no authentication and so on needed like bf2 or steam games, ive been kicked by punkbuster for problems before but they were all fixable.

I find that sometimes route sentry does not graft to lekker with COD4 for some reason, when i wanna connect i just close my INT account and i can still join local in an instant.
 
It works fine on my AXXESS local only account, i have not tested any others. AXXESS are allowing international traffic to the Activision main server on their local-only accounts, berry nice of them.

And, it will NOT work on routesentry cos when it does the CD-KEY authentication, it sends the authentication to the local ip address, which is not visible internationally.

can any body help me looking for local sa servers for call off duty 4 my ping is to high
 
I tried a Web africa local only, and had problems with connecting to the SGS servers. Switched to AXXESS and everything worked perfactly.. and its cheaper :p

If you use a IS local only account then the authentication would go through cause its like sending 5kb then the rest is pure local and IS usually let that bit international slip
 
Im going for IS local only, so far I hear it has no problems with games like CoD4 and Warcraft? anyone bump into problems?
 
Im using openweb and mine gives a CDkey already in use error any help?
 
Program Files>Route Sentry
Open Localroutes.dat with notepad
and add these IP's to the list
63.146.121.11,255.255.255.255
63.146.121.12,255.255.255.252
63.146.121.16,255.255.255.240
63.146.121.32,255.255.255.224
63.146.121.64,255.255.255.192
63.146.121.128,255.255.255.128
63.146.122.0,255.255.254.0
63.146.124.0,255.255.255.240
63.146.124.16,255.255.255.252
63.146.124.20,255.255.255.254

And then cod4 works :P

Not working for me.

I know this post is older, but does anyone know how to setup routesentry to play COD4 with the local account?

hey all. i used to be able to play after my international had been capped but now when i try my game freezes when i click on mp shortcut? help please
