:(My Nokia has just given up the ghost and I cannot get it to switch on.
I want to keep my current SIM as I have a considerable of time left on it and want to buy a replacement without a SIM (preferably PE).
PLEASE need help urgently.

Just buy any phone and put your old sim in it, you don't have to use the new sim.

It's a bit of a rip-off that you had to buy a new sim with any new phone.

Do your homework, and compare the prices of the shops - most will push a prepaid SIM on you for R1.99 extra, others require that you pay R100 for the same prepaid SIM...

True but its basically just a way of making the phone's price appear cheaper. Its the same way CLI and itemised billing are mandatory on contracts.
