movie maker program?

Hi guys,
im trying to make a cod4 music vid. Recorded all the movies and have them in order and stuff. However, Windows Movie maker screws quality of video and is just plain rubbish.

Please can someone give me some good alternative for piecing together movie clips, adding sound e.t.c.

I.e. a good movie maker program preferrably freeware if possible

thanks for the advice on the ulead movie maker. Does anyone know if i can download this program locally? its about 800mb which is too big for my conn unless i locally download it.

or if anyone knows of smaller programs that would be good aswell because i would use win movie maker its perfect it just RUINS quality
 
Premiere Pro is amazing, but pricey. Free progs can't compete with paid for things like PremPro
