Nice album that, kept it in the car

I tend to listen to more doef-doef stuff when I'm out.

I went through a patch of listening to that faster IDM. Venetian Snares is also pretty sick.

Sounds like some interesting artists. Only recognise St. Germain (and Daft Punk), used to listen to him a lot. Are the others all also loungey-type stuff?

I have been producing electronic music for 7 years now in my spare time - had some successful releases on Derek The Bandits World of Dance albums and the Hardy Boyz albums. Here is a link to some of my older music: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/defa...?bandID=383849

Needs an update - feedback welcome!

New Afrikaans band, called Die Heuwels Fantasties. Its electronica with a nice rock/alternative twist. Or let me rephrase Rock with a electronica twist. Have a listen at http://www.myspace.com/dieheuwelsfantasties

    Thumbs up

wow. didnt know you guys like this type of stuff.

dont really like wisp that much, but it seems like nrthndr was his best album to date (counting free albums as well). honor beats and building dragons wasnt that good imo.

other artists, for the uninitiated, definately worth checking out include: (go looky at at http://www.bleep.com)
autechre - look out for new LP quaristice, out soon
aphex twin/afx (cant make a list without him)
amon tobin - as recommended before.
chris clark/clark - new LP out very soon. 'body riddle' was flipping excellent.
boards of canada - funky dreamy ethereal stuff. get 'geogaddi', 'music has the right to children' 'twoism' 'hi scores' and 'trans canada highway' now!
boom bip - 'sacchrilege' is fantastic - coogi sweater anyone?
    astrobotnia
mu-ziq - really liked 'duntisbourne abbots soulmate devastation technique'
bola - for more ambient music
datach'i - really aggressive glitchy stuff. almost like a repetative version of autechre with a more steady beat. check 'black trees' and 'mmale and ffemale'
flying lotus - for those who like the jazzy stuff. new artist with a lot of promise.
gescom - autechre with a steadier beat. really bad description but thats all i got.
harmonic33 - for groovy old tunes.
phoenecia - have a look at 'brown out' at least.
richard devine - cant really describe his stuff atm other than glitch. really good. look at 'cautella' 'a:sect d:sect'
the kilimanjaro darkjazz ensemble - the name says it all. really good.
venetian snares - best is 'rossz csillag alatt szuletett' and 'my downfall'

others that kinda grabbed my interest last year was trentemoller, von sudenfed and burial.

anything you guys could recommend? i'm hungry for new music. been listening to mostly alt/rock lately.
