    Question Hyundai Atos 2003

As a first car, what do you guys think of the Hyundai Atos 2003± ?
My ex has this, in the time I was with her, it never really gave her that many problems, few here and there, but what do you guys think of it?

I don't think it was that ugly... small / cramped maybe but ya.
I like the Picanto ya... but I'm leaning towards the CitiSTORM or Renault Clio, but as far as fuel consumption goes (which is very important) this car did a good job or at least, so I thought.

i like the daihatsu sirion better, surprisingly spacious inside, reliable (based on the yaris, same engine etc, only looks better )
    atos ugly
citi, only a matter of time before it gets stolen, no abs, airbags, and its a 30 year old design, not cool.
clio, horrible resale value and renault service levels suck (all apparently, hearsay)

Just because it's old, doesn't mean it doesn't work.
You know the saying; "If it anit broke, dont fix it"

The shape etc works... and I think the Citi is sexy... and if I get it, i'll get tinted windows and spend a bit more to get the windows 'anti' smash and grab and get a gear lock along with a gorilla lock thing.

I drove a Citi golf for years.... its a really fun car to drive.... great fuel economy...
and i like the look too.... esp if you do a little to it.....

on the other hand tho... insurance on the citi is crazy.....
some insurance companies not even insuring them anymore.....
The car also has little to no safety features....

So take all of this into consideration... and then make your decision

Since this thread is migrating onto a discussion about the CRAPciti-golf, I'm deleting my post in it.

An Atos is a vile little car, I had the displeasure of driving one as a rental three weeks ago... They'e small inside, even with the seat fully back my knees touched the dash, they also had no road holding (maybe the tires), when I was parked on a wet sharp incline, and tried to drive away, the car just sat there spinning, I had to reverse and try from the bottom... Also, braking in wet conditions, I found the wheels locked almost immediately.... and this Atos had < 1000km.

You guys do realise that South Africans are the only people stupid enough to still buy citi golfs?

Back on topic. The Atos is not worth the money you're gonna spend keeping it going when it eventually does break.
Sure thing boss. Never trust a bunny.
