Anime Channel on DSTV

Can someone please advise if this channel on DSTV shows good Anime or if its more like Cartoon Network and do they show the Anime with English subtitles.

All Anime is crap (except DBZ and Pokemon). This channel's Anime is just worse and they just repeat everything all the time.

i don't really watch it so i can't comment on the quality but it's definatly not cartoon network anime. They play ghost in the shell series and gundam stuff. everything appears to be dubbed into english with no subtitles.

Nah its mostly crap.
I think DSTV chose to air the lamest and boring shows they could find. That or they only play the cheap, save stuff.

There's a **** load of good stuff(like Green Green, FLCL, Samurai Shamploo ect.) they could air but for some reason they play the most boring mind numbing **** they coulld possibly find over and over and over again.

How do you guys find out about anime? Animax has got me interested in getting more exposure to the genre, but I don't where to start. Are there decent English review sites where a total noob can learn more?

Animax is average.. the late night stuff is better but still a bit lame.

I agree, Pokemon and DBZ are totally silly crap. I think Bleach is pretty gay also.

IMO some good ones are:

Ghost in the Shell (only good one on Animax in my opinion)
Cowboy Bebop
Serial Experiments Lain

Those are about the 3 best in existence as far as I'm concerned...
