    They conduct those test @ 60 km/h. At speeds higher than that, survivability has a lot to do with luck...and the Star system is not meant to measure luck.

    "It was in Rustenburg, was told about it when I was there yesterday. Apparently a young guy wanted to do a top end run on that road to show off to two younger kids. The road is straight for long then has a tight bend, he went straight into a few trees. Driver survived, wasn't even admitted to hospital, just checked out and sorted for a broken nose. The other passengers exploded on impact. Yup, that's what they said - EXPLODED!"

    The 60km/h tests I was referring to was in response to the post before mine that mentioned the Euro 5-star ratings. Of course the crash in the pic wasn't @ 60 km/h.

    There is no ways the driver could have survived....
