So how does it work? How long does it last?

Anyone got first hand experience?
 
Apparently it hurts - a lot! My wife went for 2 of the three treatments and couldn't go back for the third because she reckoned it hurts too much.
 
I don't see how waxing (which a few of the MAN whore forumites regularly engage in) is much different from laser removal.. It's just a leetle more permanent

Waxing is a method of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for two to eight weeks.

Lasers can cause localized damage by selectively heating dark target matter, (melanin), in the area that causes hair growth, (the follicle), while not heating the rest of the skin. Light is absorbed by dark objects, so laser energy can be absorbed by dark material in the skin (but with much more speed and intensity).

My ex had it done... said it didn't hurt that much.. sort of a weird feeling rather.

so what now, does the fur grow back in patches or what?
 
Apparently the pain can be compared to an elastic band hitting your skin. Sorry but to me that sounds painful. Anything that is permanent is not going to be a walk in the park.
 
hrm.. i wonder how much it costs. Why would someone do their arms?? :confused:
