Linux Distros - Where To Download Locally.

just buy the cd from local linux distributors , they normally go for less than R30
 
You will have to be a little more specific than that.
What and who is this local linux distributors? Where can they be contacted?
 
what ever happend to the Ultimate edition download on mybroadband? :( i cant find it anywhere else locally! except if anyone knows of some place :D

What I do is, I use FDM (Free Download Manager) and add a few extra mirrors manually from all the different sources to ensure that I get a full stable download speed, FDM connects then to the mirrors downloading from each, different parts. I hope this helps anyone who wants to max out their line.
 
YOu will be lucky to find a local link to that, it is not a mainstream distro so your best bet would be their site.
 
I found this the other day when I downloaded the latest Ubuntu. A worthwhile addition IMO: ftp://ftp.wa.co.za/pub/

Being a WebAfrica server, I wonder if they allow you to download from a WA account without affecting your cap, like their WAGE servers.
 
how do you use FTP? i have downloaded filezillal. Do you just copy a folder?
 
I think the Universities mirror most major distros as well
