Coverage available on Sentech Web Site

Is anyone have any luck in finding a location that can receive a signal. I’ve checked around Roodepoort and no availability at all. Perhaps the site is not up to date with the current coverage.

Nada.

I've clicked all over Centurion, Pretoria and Midrand and they all say "None, not scheduled". I think they're still updating their data. Must be. I cannot believe that they'd kick off with *suck* poor coverage.

Santon area works. Only junk thing is that my signal is "unlikely" but the person next door to me gets "qualified".

Roodepoort and Krugersdorp are possibly covered by Heldekruin.

So what does "Cumul 102.8169014084507" mean, which is the response I get when checking on coverage? ProAsm, you there?

OK, sorry - *slap* my own face - I've now read the rest of the page, which says Status - "Operational", Signal - "Good"...

I can't get the maps to work at all. I can't zoom in, zoom out, pan, or check coverage. The only thing works for me is the address finder jobbie.

Do I need to set any browser options, or have a specific pug-in?, Please help

Same here, no coverage anywhere in Pretoria. [:(] I am looking for coverage info in the Eastern Suburbs (Faerie Glen etc.)

I've used Mozilla and Firebird (Mozilla Lite) on Linux, and IE6 on XP - all work. You must have Java and the browser must handle Javascript, as far as I can see. GL...

For R2D2 - I've just checked Faerie Glen, and am getting for Status - "None, not scheduled" and Signal - "Your enquiry will be used to assist in the planning of future coverage for your area". The facility does work for Pretoria - I checked Arcadia and Villeria areas last night which worked, though I can't remember the outcome...

Operational qualified
Planned 1st Qtr 2005 good

1st Quater of 2005???! I'm just 4.4km away from Radiokop, on a hill just above the roodepoort hyperrama....

wtf? for 1.5k a month I better be getting a signal or I'll get one of those techie jobbies to put on his sneakers and RUN to copy my damn bandwidth and bring it to my house

hee ha muffa ****a! [}:)]

Okay wait, I have my "glass is half full" hat on now....

Operational = Qualified (means I am covered)
Planned first quater 2005 = good (means my signal would improve to GOOD)

hmmmmm, now I hope my signal doesn't suck royal ass

...and the guy accross the street from me has a good at both... does this mean I have to move accross the street now? [:p] [}:)] [^]

You don't need Java, but you will need JavaScript support. Also, there's a notice in the HTML about "This works best in standards-compliants browsers" with a link to w3.org, but it's wrapped in an HTML comment [8D].

Im what I see on the coverage site, Im pretty sure they still working on it, there are most likely alot of errors. Plotting the whole of SA is a big job. It should be up by tommorrow, at least for the Johburgers(bastards). ;)
