I applied for Sentech's MyWireless on 27 March 2004 on their web site.
We got the assorted documents that they require (provided that they were allowed the information by our company) and faxed it through on 29 March 2004.
I called them two days later to enquire what was going on, they said it had been "Loaded onto the system". Then they phoned me the same day and asked me to please fax my documents through - what?
Two days later I called them to find out the progress of my application, again. After 30 minutes of holding, I was informed that they are still waiting for my auditors report.
So now I have to re-send my agreement, my id, my cancelled cheque, and also an auditors report. When will this end?
So, I'll jump through yet another hoop and call my accountant tomorrow, and get an AR from him, and fax the whole shebang through. Again. But if they call me and ask me for one more document, ONE more document, I will tell them to take their modem, extend it's antenna and shove it (antenna first) as deep into their backside as they possibly can.
At first I was very optimistic about Sentech, but right now I am thinking that telkom is maybe the better company to deal with. I mean they don't even call you to tell you how your application is going! Sentech seems to have developed a diety complex - surely it's not legal to demand financial statements before opening an account for R 650 a month? Damnit, my business has been going for 10 years already, I opened accounts worth tens of thousands of Rands with other suppliers; if they want to check my creditworthyness, why don't they call the bank? Get a bankers report?
Is there no regulatory body for this kind of thing? According to the guy I spoke to today on the phone, they've had many companies simply telling them to shove it already.
Has anyone else had such a huge mission just to get connected?
