History:

1st call back in May, consultant said I got great coverage, gave her my details and promised to come back to me, never did.

2nd call a few days later, different consultant and now no coverage.

3rd consultant told me I got partial coverage, they sent a demo guy to my place and speed at that time is ok but ping very bad (12 o'clock).

Just now called again as I am not getting any service with my current WISP (Globalwebintact/Screamer telecom) for quite a while. Consultant suggested I am partially covered and they are not allowed to sign me up, spoke to the supervisor and she explained according to new telecom act if I am not properly covered (spillage coverage?) they can't sign me as I am not getting proper service, when more people connect I will be dropped.

They will call me when they roll out and have better coverage for me, but can mean indefinitely........

What can I do?

Same story with me.
It's disappointing, but I will persevere.

You know. i'm quite split minds about this.
1: their being responsible and making sure that they can provide a service at a certain level.
2: If they just alter their T&C or ask you to sign a waiver indemming them from responsibility since you are outside their coverage range, they could provide you with a service.

But honestly. I say the first option is the better for everyone in the end. Really imagine if everyone who wanted to sign up did even though their coverage was not so good. Just think how bad these forums will be spammed by disgruntled users.

And think how choked their help lines would be. I HATE sitting on hold for 2 and a half hours to get a Telkom monkey on the phone just to get them to reset my connection on their end. I really don't want the same situation to occur with Neotel because they let people onto the network knowing they will be constantly calling to say they can't even browse let alone get their daily dose of torrent.

At least you can smell what Neotel is cooking. In my corner of the woods I can't even see the campfires. The closest signal is (according to their map), about 15km away from me.
