He is playing the fan base of course, he wants people to riot for him. It will never happen because us Arsenal fans are too passive.
But, look at it from the view as if he gets what he wanted and he ends up on the board. If he does things that do not correspond with the letter he will be destroyed in the media. So in some capacity it is a declaration of intent.

Saw we left it a little late yesterday. 2-1, our goals score 87 and 90min. Only saw some highlights Aneke and Eisfeld with the goals.
I missed half the game due to fcking DSTV. I set my PVR to record the game. Got home settled in to watch and half the recording was of the Germany italy game from the Euro's.
