Default Dare I declare Brixton tower fixed?

There's still some packetloss, but this is the first time since MAY that I've seen ANYTHING above 6K/s! [:0]

Mintek is still all over the place ggrrr... downloading is looking beter though...if only we could have your ping (474.3ms ave) times I'd be happy to use SSH again ;-)

Lets hope it ALL gets fixed....

Now, lets see how long Brixton stays "fixed" for you ;-)

Well didn't they say they were doing electrial upgrades, guess the tower didn't have enough voltage.

Naturally, I spoke too soon, as harth rightly pointed out.

My speeds have just started dying again........down to 2K again......from 12K

And they think that having great speed for 2 weeks is gonna make me happy

NOT......my speed ticket will remain open until the network stabilizes

strange... my speeds are great at the moment, averaging probably about 9Kb/s , they've been absolutely terrible since I've bought the package though, this is the first time I'm seeing anything this fast.. and your speeds are going down.

It's like we're on a see-saw ,when one halfs up the other's down heh

    Hope things improve

Tower 50 has gone backward...last week it improved slightly.. now back to 2kB/s or less.

Maybe you okes can bribe the ST techs to keep you out of the rotating slow speed pool?

They could earn a nice little income on the side doing that.

Strange, I have been running a test beween tower 50 Northpark Plaza and tower 12 Rosbank. Two laptops with a modem on each tower

Both have been running exactly the same since friday, and I have been getting full speed on the 256 packages on both of them.

I cant see a difference in them in 3 days of testing.

Unless I have been making it slow for you :)

Why not just send the above confession to scumtech and have them upgrade you to to a 512 package [:D]

    well i'm on tower 126.

Things are definately better than they were before BUT they've gotten worse since this afternoon, speeds are at around 5Kb/s off tucows.co.za(they're usually max at about 3, average at about 1 for me) , so I mean I'm just over a quarter of 128k , still .... the fact that improvements are being made leads one to believe that perhaps eventually by the end of august as promised I will be sitting with a 128k connection. The chances of that happening though, I dunno...

    Let's pray :P

On http I can barely browse websites. Sentech speed test gives 19kbps download speed. I get an average of 30kbps (highest 80, lowest 10) on P2P if I get 20 or more threads downloading.

I'm on a 128K package, maybe that's the difference. Or maybe the node is different. I'm on Node 2.
