Below is the letter i sent to Neotel - Hope this issue will be sorted out as this reflects badly on them!
.I applied for the service with Neotel during December. I spoke to a gentlemen names Joseph Kekana, and explained to him that My Telkom DSL account ends the 31st of December, and require the Neotel Service to start on the 1st of January 2009. Joseph assured me that I will only be billed from the 1st of January which seems is not the case. I have received a bill for R593.55, which I’m not happy with.
I spoke to Charles in the accounts department who informed me that I’ve been billed pro-rata from December when I received this device. This is not the agreement made when I signed up with Neotel, If I was told that I would be billed for having the device early, I would have only called in and signed up to receive the device in January.
I also gave my banking details for a debit order, and there is no indication if this has been set up, or my account will be debited at the end of the month!
I would appreciate if this can be rectified and informed if the correct amount of R469 will be going off my account at the end of the month, or if I should set up and make payment via online banking to the account details provided
