Downgrade, its way cooler. No really, it does run cooler
I went from a six core Phenom 3.2Ghz to a dual core APU 1.6Ghz and I cut my power costs in half. Big boxes sucking air and power is not cool anymore. Small ITX setups are the future, and if you really must hog real estate then mATX.

You'll find that the key to power saving is upgrading to the next die-shrink. 45nm vs 32nm will see huge power savings for instance. Or you can take an existing relatively high power chip and downvolt it as low as possible on stock - I had a friend who ran a 6-core Phenom @ 1.2v 24/7.

+1 I'm also thinking gaming laptop is the future. I'm seeing gaming laptops with 100x better specs than my 3 year old rig (and thats just the newst part). And I can still, with the help of newer ATI/AMD drivers at times, play all games on the market. So I guess gaming laptop is the future for me.
If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.

HA! No. The case has 4x mounting mounds that fasten the disk from the bottom.

I don't think you should even use that word in the sentence seeing there is none of it at all.

Wow, a 1.2kilowatt power supply? Some folks really must love Eskom. Then again this is probably not the right forum for green computing enthusiasts.

Does not mean it draws 1.2kW.

Even if you do not max it out it will still draw a lot of power. Remember they are less effective at lower loads.
