i don't have words, nor understand what this little one has gone through...

this is one of the reasons why I don't think that people should be allowed to bare children at their own will. Saddens me drastically that such so much of this injustice happens and yet no body realises the cause of it. Either the child is abused, or neglected, or left to mingle with other people who have developed a bad culture, and so on..


something has to be done to prevent these wrongs.


We are the responsible ones, we are the ones responsible for these parants.
 
Are you telling me that the child never woke up or started crying during the whole thing? And why was there only traces of blood found. Should there not have been more blood?

AND...... surely the mother knew there was a rat or 2 in the house and probably did nothing about it.

I say we tie her up so the rats can finish the job. Just joking , but this is seriously sick.
 
Very sad if its true. But how can the child be sleeping next to you and you don't realize whats happening. Surely the child screamed during the night?

Sounds very suspicious!
 
A two-year-old baby girl was killed in Ivory Park extension 2, possibly by rats, Johannesburg emergency services said on Friday.

Spokesperson Percy Morokane said the toddler's stepfather woke up on Friday morning, prepared for work and left home without noticing his stepdaughter's mutilated face.

"The baby slept in the same bed with her parents. When the mother woke up she saw the baby facing the opposite direction, but appeared not to be alive. When she turned the baby she found that 95% of her face had been bitten off," he said.

The baby's eyes, nose and lips were gone. Small traces of blood were found at the scene.

The mother told emergency services she suspected that rats were responsible. She received trauma counselling.

"She was so traumatised. A neighbour called us to the scene where we found that the baby had died. The father was called to return home."

He cautioned parents with small children to monitor them at intervals during the night.

Holy crap that is scary! Poor baby!:(
