Hi,

Does anyone know if the output on the component video out of the HD PVR is content protected?

It's not protected. But it's not HD either.


edit: On second thought, it may have Macrovision encoding...
 
Get a product called hdfury from a company hdcabling.co.za
This might help you to backup the movies on the hdd.
