Hi Diane,

Our discussion this afternoon regarding Council's request that Telkom
respond at the end of all the oral representations on Monday 18 April
2005 at midday refers.

Telkom would be pleased to respond at the end of the oral
representations. Telkom is, however, unable to commit to answering to
any specific issues raised by any of the representations as most
members of Telkom's panel will be unable to attend the full
proceedings for the four days. Telkom's response will, however, be
guided by the oral presentations themselves. Telkom is prepared to
also answer in writing to ICASA on any substantive matter raised in
the Hearings.

We trust that the above response meets with the Council's approval.

With thanks and regards,

Dr. Sharon Horton

PROBLEM

Hi Thabo,

yes I am thanks .Thanks for the media release. ICASA requests that
Telkom makes two representations one at the beginning of the hearings
as scheduled and another at the end of the hearings in response to the
submmisions received which is on 18 /04.05 .

Kindly advise if this is possible.

Yours Sincerely

Dianne

Me 2 - Maby they forwarded to all the people who responded to the requests for info for the adsl hearings - can't think of anything else ...

rpm - could you email them on belhalf of us requesting why this was sent? BTW - also ask them to make sure that Telkom responds to ALL issues raised at the hereings - I want to here there pathetic responses :)

Also got it and I can confirm that I did sent a response.

I also received this e-mail, 20 minutes ago

It comes from the person I mailed when I submitted my questionnaire in January regarding the ADSL line rental complaint initiated by the owner of this forum. I guess that's how they got my e-mail address and proves they did receive my complaint

Does that mean that Telkom's people are too ****ing scared to face up to questions in real life?

Because they can't formulate their replying lies in their dark cranny where no one can see them?

Because they will sputter and choke when someone asks them why 512k ADSL can be 10 quid in the UK and not here?

One colour comes to mind and that's Yellow.. cluck cluck, chickens!

Is there a list anywhere accessable with all the issues that are being raised at this hearing?

Got the same email - address was also the same one I sent a submission to.

Did anyone thing that Telkom would just sit there and agree to answer everyone’s questions?

IMO - You'll have better luck directing your wrath at ICASA asking what they're going to do to remedy the situation. Telkom will contest to their dying breath that they're doing what’s right.

Good luck at the hearings and keep the faith.

Yep I actually got 2 emails - I still haven't had time to look at them, and I have just stumbled on this thread now in New Posts...

Me 9 or somewhere there abouts . From previous responses it seems like if you responded to the questionaire then you are in the loop. First time I have been in a "loop" Whooohoooo

Yeah, that's what I think too. Oh well, from that e-mail it seems Telkom can't respond to any question without going to their Ivory tower and going to the big book of lies, and probably only then if "Sizwe says it's OK to say that"
