    Default PS3 Slim + HDMI-CEC

Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the DSTV, TV and Multimedia section, but...

I was under the impression that my newly bought PS3 Slim only supported Bravia Sync.

But last night I decided to give Samsung Anynet on my B530 a go... It works!

    1) In PS3's XMB, go to Settings -> System Settings -> Turn "Control for HDMI" on
    2) In TV menu, Playstation 3 appears in the Anynet device menu

Alternatively, you could press "Tools" on the TV remote, and access Anynet settings from there.

From what I've read, this is a new feature in the PS3 Slim. Can anyone confirm if it's possible with the old PS3 Phat?

i guess it works for everything HDMI and not only bravia tvs. on a side note, did you get an english instruction manual with your slim? i only got french, deutch, nederlands, spanish. i can read and comprehend quite a bit of the nederlands but it is a freakin chore. an english manual would have been nice. i saw you also get the manual online - maybe that'll make life easier.

Same here! Also didn't get English instruction manual... Same as yours. Where'd you get yours?

I saw, however, that there's an online user manual

Only on Slims due to Bravia controls. Not on Phatty at all.

My Xbox 360's HDMI kicked the bucket last week so there went my DVD player.

So today I was nawty and bought the PS3 Slim I had heard about this HDMI sync feature and wondered what it was about on my Bravias remote.

All I can say is that it is awesome - my TV remote has full contoll of the PS3 in dvds as well as in the in main ps3 home thingy.

    Very happy

What models are your ps3 slims? Mine's the CECH-2004A, bought it today at reggies, all seems 100%, but also didn't get an english manual, and if you google it it doesnt come up with any english websites, on the CECH-2000A is in english... that's strange! why would some places sell a different model to other stores? I cant even find out if one is a later one?
