Neoflex Firmware Update available here:

Did the upgrade. Seems more stable, but I can't really comment - I haven't had a problem with neotel yet.

Upgraded - more stable...and surprisingly internet is a bit faster :)

Oh and the AxessManager is working - no more hit and miss to get it working:)

@Hawker - what was your speed before the upgrade?

Not sure, I forgot to do one before the upgrade. But the connection was seriously horrible!

Now its running nicely, no signal problems, no disconnects - very stable. Even played TF2 for 2 hours ping was about 70ms. So not bad at all.

What ever you do as a Neoflex customer, you must get this update done. Big thumbs up, this is what it should have been out of the box. A connection manager that actually works the first time you click on it, and now i have 0% packet losss to games.saix.net

My world of warcraft latency went down to a constant 750ms (US server Whisperwind) and no more lag spikes when playing DoTa locally.

I support this download.

Ok i'm missing something vital here. How are you people updating the firmware without the SPC number? I tried to use the file above and well that's what it asks, and i can't find this anywhere....

Just beware about updating if you are not on an external antennae.

The new version seems to turn off Antennae Diversity which means if you are on only the standard antennaes then you reception might actually be worse.

Been trying to get hold of Neotel rep for 2 weeks now to discuss this with him.

If anything my reception got better after the firmware update. Speeds increased too.

And you only use the antennaes provided with the unit , not an extra external antennae ?

Cannot confirm Gary's statement, but i am on a external antenna, and my connection got better.

Anyone who has done the update on normal antennas that can shed some light ?

Might be an isolated case but id love to know who else has used this update that has no external antennae and the results they received.

I have and it seems ok so far ( 5 days and running ) will keep you posted.

I am using a dead standard device - no external antennae.

Performance has increased, speed + latency. I play quite a bit of TF2 online on local servers. Ping has decreased from about 80ms to about 50-60ms. So its been a good update.

Feedback

Guys,

This is good to hear, anyone else care to post their findings after the update?

Kind of ironic how you put the word feedback in the title when we have received zero feedback from neotel regarding the disconnect issue:sick:

Anyone got an idea if they will be bringing the same thing out for Neotel Prime?
