Is anyone aware of a website or a reference where i can find the current distance of the earth to the sun?

i'm aware of the average, perihelion and aphelion.....i'm looking for a more real-time number or something close to it.

i've ask the great forum brain...i'm sure someone knows

i am aware of this. i know of the average distance also known as the au.

what i'd like to know is the current distance from the sun....which is not the au, except for 2 specific points in a year.

dude, ok, um, wtf? Distance from the sun? that's like asking "what's the distance from the road?"... Are we talking from earth?mars?another star?

What do you think the default bias for the average earth bound human would be for that particular question? I mean, just hazard a guess.

Triangulate your position & distance to sun!

You will need distance & angle from any known position (B) to Sun; and the distance between your position (A) and B... and trigonometry's your uncle ;)
