Starcraft

Have not played on battle.net recently but i still think its one of the best strategy games ever. Hey, thats a good idea, i think i will play on battle.net again as soon as i get a decent connection going.
 
Agreed...i so prefer Starcraft to Warcraft 3 just because of the amount of strategy in Starcraft...By the way you dont need a shiney connection to play on battle.net i used to play on 56K no problem, well the only problem cam in hosting games so rather try join a game :)
 
Damn shame they never made an upgrade to this game, it had such potential :o I think when they introduced heroes in WC3 it took from the strategy as opposed to adding.
 
I play on gosu (local FSGS) every couple of months :) Still the best game ever made.
 
Yeh Starcraft WAS an awesome game - played through all the campaigns again about 2 years ago and started practicing PvP for a while

Then Blizzard had this brainwave - lets release a FPS starcraft and call it Ghost... aaaaaaargh... the pain. Personally I think they should have rather looked at releasing a much better SC2 - although a lot of folk were saying - yeh but it would be much like DoW, an perhaps there would have been similarities.

The introduction of heroes wouldn't necessarily have to be an unbalancing thing - SC had heroes - but no aura's or major effects - (DoW got the hero units right and balanced IMHO) also liked the squad and squad upgrade ideas... who knows maybe one day a janitor at blizzard will make a comment under his breath like - hey why dont you redo starcraft - and the powers that be will say "sounds like a fine idea" and flowers will bloom, and rainbows will appear and happy music etc etc.

I think at the moment Starcraft is still making them money and is still too popular - so why make a new one if you're still milking the old.

It says that blizzard have not forgot about starcraft or daiblo they were just to busy with wow's new expansion set.And that they going 2 start working on a new sc and daiblo soon.W0oT.:D
