As per my previous thread, I had the account cancelled (btw was cancelled three times before)

However this morning I was still charged for it. There is a huge difference between R290 and R580, people like myself setup a budget and work with it.

This is highly upsetting and worry some!

Hmmm they seem to have a lot of problems regarding cancelled accounts and bandwidth allocation. Good luck Linouser.

If you sign a debit order for a specific amount, how are they allowed to just double it? Shouldn't the bank see this & stop it & say WTF?

Well iBurst has had that problem on a number of occasions. (Double debit orders).
It then takes 10 WORKING days to get the money back in your account (In iBurst's case).

TG I am no longer with iBurst. :D

Glad I didn't sign up with them, these Afrihost threads really are a bit disturbing to say the least.

Sent them an email this morning! Still no response:rolleyes:

Well anyway I only had R317 in my account this morning as only R290 was supposed to go off. The debit order went through and then my account was in arrears. Needless to say the bank realised the error and reversed it. The catch:mad: I have now lost over R120 in bank chargers because of Afrihosts bugger up:mad:

You are fully within your rights to claim that R120 back from Afrihost.
Get a copy of the bank statement and follow this up with Afrihost.

Also sitting, back with Hellkom DSL, no connectivity on Afrihost, account paid up in full... a string of support tickets etc... no connectivity...but out of pocket for the money.

Not a good start I'm afraid. They're not even answering the phone lines. One 5045 rings forever, the other 7200 has along engage tone.

What's up?

Sad really; I though this was going to be the "real deal" for DSL access...turning out to be a bit of the opposite.
