Hi folks

There has been a significant increase in the amount of traffic during April. I think this was mainly due to the ICASA hearings and iBurst service problems, but there has been a consistent growth over the last 4 months (around 250%) and we might just these figures again next month. Thanks again to Afrihost for sponsoring MyBroadband’s bandwidth usage.

Bandwidth: 23.19 GB

you should be careful that afrihost does not suspend your account and remove the website without proper notice due to you hogging their bandwidth.

yes, im a bitter lonley person...
 
:eek: Sorry Folks, it must be me, I'm with Iburst & I did not think that I had those GB's in my modem, especially with all that's been happening on my type of connection.

Thanks for the concern!

So far their service has been excellent, and they are aware of our high usage. They were willing to sponsor our BW usage with the agreement that they get advertising space on the site etc. I do not think they were anticipating such massive growth (when we made the deal we did far less that 10 G :D), but a sudden suspension is not on the cards. They are definitely feeling our usage but they are also of the most professional companies I have dealt with and will certainly discuss any hosting issue before considering suspension.

Gladly we are not hosting with some of the other companies that show a particular dislike to ‘bandwidth hogs’…we would have been on a slower pipe or disconnected months ago :D

Good, I don't think i will survive without this site... infact, i am sure no one will survive :D
 
wooooo thats very cool, more ppl reading this site than i originaly thought, do you have any stats from this time last year, or possibly even from Nov/Dec of 2003, so we could do a comparason???

With the quality of this site one could not expect anything less than massive growth. Imagine a year from now. If one wants to know what's happening on Internet or Communications one only has to visit here or Hellkom. Great Oakes from small .......
