Business Uncapped and tracking
We have uncapped adsl from IS at work - after 6pm when everyones gone home we sometimes download stuff off uTorrent.
Can IS track the usage and will they ever report it to the IT department?
Should we be worried - we only download series and movies, maximum bandwidth usage a month would be 8GB.
Well, when you get caught and fired then you will have a lovely reason to share with the next company that wants to hire you, why you left the last company. Your IT department will probly end up catching you in the end unless they are also downloading with you.
IS do not send reports to their customers for their uncapped lines, if you do however download from a dodgy P2p source IS might receive a threatening letter, which will then be passed on to your IT dept. Use PeerGuardian or something similiar and you should be OK. In general I tell people to stay away from the very popular stuff on torrents - older series etc hardly ever get tracked and the popular stuff you can find on easynews or some similiar HTTPS-enabled service in any case.

Just ask your IT guys for the stuff. They probably already downloaded it. No point downloading it twice.
Why yes, my one eye is bigger than the other. Thanks for pointing that out.
Will definately get uncapped next year - line at work is 4mbs uncapped.
