Thread: Guitar Type Music

    Default Guitar Type Music

    Hello,

Can anyone here please help me to remember.. I'm trying to find out the genre of the type of music usually played in middle ages films.

Those tranquil harp music, or perhaps it is from a guitar? What is this called- Folk music? I imagine it might have been played in taverns back then.

    Cheers

No not folk music. I can't remember though what my friend played a little medieval tune by blind guardian.

    Definitely not folk music.
You probably heard baroque or otherwise the chanting of monks.
Try to be a bit more descriptive.

Listen to a group called Dead can Dance - that might be what you're looking for.

Hehe thanks for all these links.

I'm sure I would get right with them.
Those of you who have played pc games since 1998 would know, while playing baldurs gate some of the places in town would be celebrating something and then you could hear these musical instruments.

That is the kind I am after ^_^
