Acuity Consultants are currently searching for a Configuration Engineer for a global IT firm. In this role you will be responsible for the administration and support of the suite of applications used for software configuration management within the organization. Your duties will include installations, upgrades and testing of the relevant applications. You will also be responsible for documentation, support, and will play an important role in various projects.
This role is part of an international initiative and you will receive extensive training and will also have the opportunity to travel internationally.
To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:
• Tertiary IT qualification (BSc, BEng, N.Dip, BTech or similar)
• Configuration management experience
• Strong Unix or Linux skills
• Experience with the administration of at least one of: Atlassian Crowd, Jira, Fisheye or Bamboo. Sonatype Nexus or Subversion (SVN)
Experience/skills with the following would be highly desirable
• Jira plug-in development
• Java development
• Python scripting
• Knowledge of SCM best practices and methodologies
