Storm has established itself as a leader in Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) by converting voice to data, allowing you to dramatically reduce costs on your company's telecoms bill. With the legalisation of VOIP (Voice over IP) on 1st Feb 2005, we can now offer all South African business’s both voice and data services on one network - our national and international IP network.
Storm owns and controls its own switch network in the United Kingdom as well as its own IP network in South Africa. We interconnect with operators such as British Telecom (BT) and Cable and Wireless, allowing us to select between several high quality carriers. The data network, based on Cisco MPLS technology, is a 'Tier 1' data network with multiple upstream links for full redundancy.
