3 – 4 month contract role assisting across all aspects of event co-ordination for a dynamic and first of its kind large scale conference in Johannesburg. The role is extremely varied, working in a small team with a truly innovative client in the web/emerging technologies sector.

Work experience:


  • 2 – 4 years agency side experience within a brand activation or events agency, working as an account executive or project manager
Must have experience of:


  • Client management and liaison
  • Event production management
  • Managing creative process and production
  • Degree level education
Core task requirements/ responsibilities:


  • Day to day contact managing sponsor relationships, management of implementation of sponsorships
  • Sourcing and managing event suppliers
  • Overseeing delegate management system (with support of account executive)
  • Overseeing all travel arrangements and logistics for speakers
  • Tracking all costs against agreed budget
  • Day to day liaison with PR and creative agency
  • General assistance across all aspects of co-ordination of the conference and associated hospitality events

  • Can-do, creative and flexible approach – proactive not reactive
  • Detail orientated, practical thinker… with some creative flair thrown in
  • Articulate – good writing and speaking skills
  • People’s champion – able to work with and manage a variety of personalities
