Hi

Was trying to get routesentry up and running and started messing around with creating the bridge connection, but alas i ****ed it up - to the extent that when i typed in 10.0.0.2, i got nothing

so, being very intelligent , i pushed on the reset button for 10secs, it flashed all its lights and... nothing

so switched it off, tried 10.0.0.2 again.... nothing
switched it off again, connected the LAN cable, typed in 10.0.0.2... nothing:wtf:
USB.. same story:mad:

when i do connect the LAN cable, the little network icon has the yellow ball bouncing left and right for about 5 mins until the balloon pops up and says limited connectivity... (i.e. Microsoft means NO CONNECTIVITY):erm:

i'm being screwed by Telkom and Microsoft (lol) - any ideas on getting this thing working? i'm beginning to think its fried

Do you get an ip number when you do ipconfig? And what about the gateway ip?

try entering a manual ip of 10.0.0.10 for your pc, with 10.0.0.2 for the gateway, subnet mask 255.0.0.0

might be that the dhcp server borked itself.

thanks guys!!!!, i eventually kept trying to reset it over and over - it eventually worked, plus i got routesentry running as well

TORRENTS!!! mwahahahahahaha :)

With certain IP ranges and Windows Vista/7, RouteSentry manipulates the routing tables such that the connections to LAN devices don't work any more. For that reason I wrote an application to do the same as RouteSentry and more :) see my sig
