    Question 3G While Driving

    Hey all,
On holiday in the garden route area at the moment. Have been using 3G (although sometimes only GPRS) in all the places i've stayed. It's been awesome ;-)

But... there is one thing I have noticed. When driving along the N2, I can't seem to connect. Average speed is around 120km/h.

Bit weird, as I can connect to GPRS on my cellphone without any problems.

    Any fixes for this problem?

    Cheers, Nick

Are you sure you're in a 3G cell at that point in time? You'll probably find 3G coverage are only in the towns, etc. with the in-between areas not covered.

Won't ask how (or why) you want to connect while driving

I've often (been) driven from PTA to JHB and not drop a connection.

    Hey, thanks for reply.

Lol, my old man is doing the driving! Yep, just tried to connect using 3G in stormsriver, but no go - cool on GPRS though. Gonna try it at speed just now.

    Will update.

Yep, all go! Must've just been in a bad area earlier.
