Hi Guys Anyone Know Where To Find Alist Of Edge Complient Phones?that Also Functions As Modem On Pc Via Data Cable?and Fi So Which Fo Those Are Available From Sa Serivce Proivders?

Edge compliant phones

Check http://www.gsmarena.com , this is quite a good website, as you can compare phones, as well as checking their release dates. If you are an avid nokia user, check out their website as well.

Here are some:

Nokia: 3200,6220,6230,6820,7200,5140,9300,9500,6680,3230,6810,7260,7270,7820,6200 + more

Ericsson: not sure but Z500i and S710a have it for sure

Siemens: the whole new 75 range ( SL75, S75 etc )

Samsung: not sure but D500e is has EDGE

LG A7150 also EDGE

Motorola: V555, RAZR V3,A780,

transfer rates

I have been looking at various phones with the idea of using them as an EDGE modem, but the ones I have come across seem to have transfer rates only up to 177kbps (download), which as I understand it is way below the capabilities of EDGE.
Are there phones with better transfer rates or does one have to stick to a card for that?

the Nokia 6630 and 6680 are class 10 EDGE compliant, so they support 4 channels down (4 x 59.2Kbps = 236Kbps).
