No Incoming MMS - Bold 9700

Hi

I have the Blackberry Bold 9700 at Vodacom

I can not receive any MMS'ses
When I try to send one from Vodacom.co.za, it says that it can not be delivered to my phone.

When I request the MMS settings from the Vodacom site, it says that it is sent, but nothing comes to the phone.


My WAP Push is enabled
Firewall is disabled

It says MMS Transport[WPTCP] & MMS Client [MMS] under service Book, whatever that is.

My SMS, e-mail, Browsing and IM is fine..

Just phone 082155 already, its a free call!

It can only be a service book issue, try getting them to resend you the service books (those MMS configuration settings don't work on Blackberry's).

I tried 082155 and experienced "High Call Volumes" for 25 minutes, that's why I tried here.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I got my Curve 3 months ago.

I had to speak to two different consultants on 082155 before the last one eventually figured out that for some reason MMS was not activated on my phone. He activated it for me and resent the service books. Works fine now.

Do it from the e-mail settings app on your phone (menu-options-resend service books.

Do this but rather phone from another cell, not from the BB you want MMS to be activated on. The reason is that the consultant will go through certain settings on your BB with you and ask you to delete old/incorrect/default(?) service book and MMS settings. It is difficult to do this on your BB while the consultant is on the line. He will also ask your BB's PIN nr and tell you where to find it in the settings on the phone. Anyhoo, this was the procedure I had to go through. You will probably have to do the same thing.

Edit: I see oronte suggested doing it from the email settings before I could post this one. I hope it is as easy as he suggested. I did not try it this way. As I said, the consultant wanted me to physically change and delete certain settings on the phone. Maybe you'll have more luck using a short cut
