Hi All

I want to connect to buildings which are in the same complex. They are about 500m apart. It is line of site, I can see the other building. One building already has Wireless inside.
What and how would I connect the two buildings and what equipment should I use.
Do I bridge the two?
What equipment should I use.
Senao or Linksys.
What Linksys product would I use.

What is the best website to go to learn more about WiFi. Antennas and dBi etc.

TIA

Iv only used the linksys wrt54g, with good results. It is very hard to get a transparent bridge working between two of these. Using routing myself.

Using this you will also need 12dBi yaggi's on both sides.

See www.jawug.za.net for information

Nike798,

Google would be your best friend for searches on more wifi info... also, www.jawug.za.net very good source.

I would recommend Linksys WRT54G's myself... very robust and very good results besides being very hackable!

We are currently using 5 x WRT54G for links and they work very very well.

Would I need to bridge and is this a mission to set up? Ryder, as thOrn says transparent bridging is a mission.
What antennas will be suitable.
I have one option of 12dBi Yagi, what about 13dBi flat panel.
I have a quote for the full CPE option from Miro, is this overkill?
