Cool Stuff.
Can you play freecell on it?
Would be cool to be able to split up PC components in future. That way I can finally keep a CPU or two in the fridge...
mmm multi-core processor gel packs... if only sata can be replaced with optics

the age of photonics is upon us! grab your laaayyzzors and hide!
Yup, in 20 years from now kids will joking about the slow pc's we had today.![]()
A new age in computing has began... Great stuff..
Very exciting to see what type of applications this tech will yield...
Better to Live 1 Day as a Lion then 1000 Years as a Sheep
Capable of transferring the entire contents of a laptop in a second.
Where would it transfer it to? Surely the HDD/USB 3.0 R/W speed would bottleneck this speed.

Hologram hard drives might work if for each Photon beam would have a disc of its own, that and if they find Superconductors it would really work!!
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93Ghz | Asus P5QL PRO IP43 | ATI Radeon X1900GT |Corsair DDR2-800 1GB XMS2 x 2 | 400 Gb HDD | LG 22" W2234
this is why Intel will always be ahead of AMD (apart from dodgy business dealings), R & D
For those interested, here is a video showing a demo:

This is a really cool technology...
I'm just liking the scalability that this kind of thing possibly brings to the table.
I play well with others. Others, not you.www.domaincheap.co.za[/URL]
