Nice.
Now the prices just need to be right. Anything above R5000 is auto fail.

If you have one of the latest Android smart-phones do you really need a tablet?

The poll. My diabetes tablets is enough thank you.
To date I have had no interest in a tablet. Does anyone here have one and actually use it on a regular basis, ie. more than they use their cellphone?
I played with an iPad last night...
and they're VERY useful as a sort of coffetable computer... but not at the price tag that Apple want for that one...
I reckon the sweet spot will be around R3k for one, then I'll be interested.
I play well with others. Others, not you.www.domaincheap.co.za[/URL]
played with an iPad. can't see what value it adds over my laptop and nexus phone
Do NOT construe anything I type as advice
I see there are some APADS on bidorbuy for around R1,500, apparently one can get them in HK for around $120.. they area little smaller than the ipad and only 800x480, but then they run something open like Android... anyone had any experience?
Yup, I have 2 of them
A 7" 600mhz tablet running 1.9 which I picked up on ebay for R650 and and 10.2" 850mhz tablet running 2.1 which I picked up for R1150. Pretty decent toys and once you stick one of the slatedroid custom roms on them you are pretty much covered for anything you can imagine.
I can't say that they have any amazing function that will change your life but I suppose tablets are pretty fun and at that price it is not bad for another gadget in the collection. I mostly use them for browsing the net or reading my e-mail and they truly rock for showing off photos.
Not bad for e-books if you do not have a proper e-reader but I would never even try to compare it to my B&N Nook there is just no beating the e-ink display.

What tablet is that one, and where did you get it? If you dont mind me asking.
Thanks
