    jdownloader

Downloader is a download manager, written in Java, which allows the automatic download of files and split files from one-click hosting sites such as Rapidshare and Megaupload. JDownloader supports the use of premium accounts.

For simple text editing use Scite (Scintilla text editor)... I use this on both Windows and Linux. It has text highlighting for just about every programing / scripting language, so I find it very useful for C++ and PHP development...

Jip, it is commandline. The documentation is pretty good, so you shouldn't have any problems. You can google for a gui frontend, but most of those projects seems to have died off.

    Yo,

    I recently installed Ubuntu LTS 10.04... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

One thing though... I recently upgraded Wine to v1.3 via:

adding it to Software ppp command. and

    sudo apt-get install wine

But ever since this update ...Wine crashes after 15 mins - I am running World of Warcraft :P...

Error: terminal process failure - wine

Any help will be much appreciated...

    Vrede,
    Vile

OpenShot non-linear video editor that can do some pretty heavy-duty stuff; see the features page (don't want to dump all that here, rather keep it short for thread clarity).
