Web hosting for R4.50 per month

Talk about over selling! OMG!

Servers are ganna get loaded and then fall over all the time. It always happens with people who over sell cpanel severs :(

Hi W1z4rd,

Just feel we need to respond on this one - There's a fair amount of math that goes into calculating how much a server can physically handle. I must stress that none of our servers would ever be overloaded and we'd not be quick to release specials of this nature if we felt our servers were not up to the task.

We take in the actual processing speed of the server vs the amount of memory and physical resources and calculate these numbers against signups. Remember, we certainly have more than a single server :-)

I must say, I've always taken all host promises with a pinch of salt, but I've been in the industry for 12 years now, and Gridhost is the first host that's actually got me excited about the hosting. Their support is friendly, fast and awesome, pricing brilliant, uptime and speed better than I've had with any of my other hosts, and they actually seem to take some pride in their work. Oh yes, and they have a very viable affiliate and reseller system.

I've moved most of my hosting over to them over the past year. The ones I don't host with them are purely because I don't want the headache of moving SQL databases.

I hope those calculations take into account the type of web applications will be running on your systems as they are what dictate the CPU/Mem load. Hope you got loads of staff :) Supporting a domain for R4.50 is going to be epic.

Absolutely - we measure against all our servers and draw an average. Any questions, feel free to PM me.
 
i also have a domain on gridhost and all service has been excellent so far... in fact support is even quicker than my web africa accounts....
 
I can vouch for Gridhost and have had excellent support on hosting issues.
 
So if I sign up for this does that mean I only get it at that price for a couple months and then I have to pay normal price?
