Thank you. That is the best deal I could find.

Hello I need some advice on the Netgear 624 Router is it capable or receiving 21 MBPS or just the standard HSDPA 7.2MBPS. Advice will be much appreciated.

It's the modem that is capable of 21mbps, not the router.

The Netgear MBR624GU router (with the latest firmware) supports the E1820 21mbps modem.

The bottlenecks on the router would be the 480mbps USB2 speed, the 54mbps Wifi G speed, and the 100Mb Ethernet speed, all of which are way faster than the 21mbps E1820 modem.

There is also the efficiency of the Netgear MBR624GU hardware / software to consider, but that seems OK.

If the router is handing out DHCP then it should be.

    Default Dovado UMR

Quite interesting the differences in speed using the Dovado router - using the E1820 modem:

Modem directly into PC - consistently over 7.
    http://www.speedtest.net/result/1006825320.png

Modem into Dovado router with LAN - consistently just over 5.
    http://www.speedtest.net/result/1006840750.png

Modem into Dovadorouter using wireless - consistently around 4.
    http://www.speedtest.net/result/1006843697.png

Why the big discrepancy between the router and direct into the PC???

I had the same experience with a Netgear MBR624GU - I assume that there is quite a bit of overhead processing in the router.

It doesn't list the cheaper E1752 modem among the supported modems, so this may not work - I found that less routers supported this modem. I think that it is the newest, and there is something a bit different with this one - may be supported later with a firmware upgrade.

But the fast E1820 that comes with the 60GB bundle is supported.

This router looks fine, it should work.
