SMS's delayed while online

I've noticed that when I'm using my cell phone to connect to the internet, I can't receive sms's or that they are delayed. This happens when I'm using online banking (sms authorisation) or even the callquest password reset.

I always receive the sms's a few minutes after disconnecting but if I use ADSL at work I receive the sms's immediately.

Probablee depends on the cell phone's capabilites.
What model u using ?

I get the same problem. I have a K700i and use a GPRS+ connection.

Thats how it works - that's why gprs/3G is a joke if you are using your work phone. You will miss phone calls as well. The SMS / Call will normally get through when your connection is idle.

I have a Sony S700i.

I can go online and receive a call at the same time, just wish I could get an sms.

Nokia 6630 software version V4.03.38, SMS and calls get through without problems while on 3G, EDGE and GPRS.

(To check software version key in *#0000#)

This is a phone, not network, dependant issue.
