    Default Symbian OS on PC?

I've been hearing rumors about Symbian OS going open source and a Symbian operating system is in the works for PC. To me this sounds like quite an interesting alternative to windows/linux. My google searches provides very little details.. Anybody got any more info about this?

    you're getting confused with meego.
meego will be deployed to high-end smartphone and other hardware platforms. not symbian afaik.
qt will be the development toolset.
symbian^3 and ^4 will be merged and ostensible versioning removed.

Talk about Symbian going open source has been doing the rounds for about 3 years AFAIK, but nothing has come of it that we've seen.
