I've been using my MTN 3G card in Suse 9.3 and in windows XP and the speed in Suse is not as fast as in XP. Most of the time I have only GPRS connection anyway, but even that is faster in XP. In Xp I get average download at about 25kb/s and the max goes up to about 80kb/s.
In Suse I struggle to get 8kb/s. Does anybody have a suggestion how to fix this? I use the Novatel U630 PCMCIA card. Maybe different initialization strings for the card.
