No Vodacom special?!

As mentioned in the other thread, my brother is signing a new contract.

Pops to Vodacom and its still an obsene amount! I haven't used Vodacom for this whole year due to Cell C and 8ta ... But I thought every week I read about discounts and specials?

He wants to go sign with someone else - but I said there must be an error :/

Is there a special on 2GB on Vodacom? Or is it the same price as 3 years ago?

So they're saying go to ANYONE else? That's kinda dumb :/

Indirectly, this is how the conversation goes :

Me : Hi ... I'd love to be your client and pay you money every month, for 24 months. May I?
Them : You may - however, as of a few weeks back, we cost 200-300% more than anyone else
Me : Oh - so you can't help?
Them : Not really ... perhaps go across to MTN/Cell C/Virgin/Neotel/iBurst/ADSL/8ta or any other service provider .... and they'll be more than willing to look after you for 2 years
