A Pan-African ICT enabler that is driving the development of the African internet environment seeks a Transmission Manager/Assistant Network Operations Manager to assist in effectively utilizing the outsourced NOCs to Operate and Maintain the Company Network. The person must also Liaise with other internal and external teams to convert the business needs into operational /engineering tasks.
Outputs:
· Liaise with the outsourced NOCs to achieve stakeholder’s expectations
· Escalate critical network/client issues to the NOC and report such to senior management and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them
· Liaise with maintenance providers.
· Liaise with other internal and external teams to convert the operational /engineering tasks to business needs and vice versa
· Closely work with commercial, sales team for contract
· Maintain the relationship with various service providers
· Liaison between internal teams and NOCs for various type
· Periodical Reports related Network Operations and Engineering
· Recommend Engineering solutions for any New Projects (Network/ Customer) and identify suitable Network Elements to Meet the committed SLA
Qualification:
· Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from leading institutes
· Excellence in SDH, DWDM, IP,MPLS engineering and Operational experience
· 8+ years’ experience with a Telecom Service provider at Senior Management level
· Submarine industry exposure would be advantageous
· Pro-active and takes initiative in driving resolution of Network Operations and Engineering related issues that may threaten company’s Business
· Travel Requirements:50% +% Africa/Asia/Europe
