    Hmm, I have had to switch to my phone hotspot (Vodacom), at least that works.

    Come on Cell C, what is wrong with the throughput on your St Davids tower ?

    Been having issues off and on since last week with frequent disconnects. I'm in Edgemead, Cape Town.

    Date & Time of Issue: Since 17th July
    Device Manufacturer & Model: Huawei E1820
    Contract Type (pre- or post-paid): pre-paid
    Existing reference numbers from Helpdesk: no
    RAT (2G/3G/HSPA+): HSPA+
    www.speedtest.net results (if possible): as per below. Speed is fine (when I can connect).
    Cell ID (if possible): 40594
    RSSI: -77
    Any other information relevant to the problem: Often when I try to reconnect it fails with a 628 error.

    Existing reference numbers from Helpdesk: n/a
    RAT (2G/3G/HSPA+): 3G, when actually able to stay connected
    www.speedtest.net results (if possible): n/a (haven't tested)
    Any other information relevant to the problem: Frequent disconnects

    I'm also getting frequent disconnects here this evening. I'll try two or three times to connect and it says "failed to establish connection with remote computer". Then I'll eventually succeed after several tries, and the connection will drop after a few minutes, so I have to go through the whole process again.

    Managed to say connected for the past 2 hours. The intermittent state continues...

    Also having problems in the Parow/Durbanville/Langenberg areas. My cell keeps losing connection to the CellC network. What is going on?

    I noticed this for the first time driving through the CBD yesterday evening.
    After being connected for a few minutes, my phone would show "unable to connect to the internet" and show me a list of available wi-fi connections, as well as the Smartdata Cell-C connection.

    Here in Brackenfell I have also data problems, on my back up internet now. 100mb x 12months from Vodacom.....getting that deja vu feeling on using 3g internet the first time when it was R20 per MB.
