Screamer WIMAX raided by ICASA

This is the reason why Screamer is down, does not look like it will be up soon guys. Looks like some other sites will go down next week as well.

What amasses me is that a company spends millions on rolling out wimax even though they know they do not have spectrum. What about all the clients that paid for equipment, will it be refunded?

You know what amasses me is that a lot of people are still ignorant to the fact that greed exists... and someone somewhere was paid a whole lot of money so that Screamer could do business. Remember, Sentech only recently said they are going to use their spectrum only AFTER the controversy as to who owned what and Sentech finding out about it happened.

There is no doubt in my mind (seeing as Sentech is a parastatal) that there has been some form of corruption that allowed for events to ensue. And this is solely the reason why I warned people several times to not opt for Screamer Wimax but to get Telkom Wimax if they were after a solid piece of technology but couldn't get a hard line (or didn't want to be forced to pay for a voice line as well)

What is really interesting is the fact that ICASA recently got a new chair person, for months and years nothing was done about Screamer using illegal spectrum. With a new chairman now they do something...

Has there been a media release from the ICASA, would surely be interesting to get the full story. What amasses me is the fact that at the end of the day the screamer clients has to pay the price. They make these fantastic freaking decisions and we pay, that sucks!
