    Hi bavmorda

Cell_C is the kind gentleman Armando. :-)

If Cell C has offered you a Motorola MB525 you won't regret it. I was also bitten in the past by crappy motorola phones, but I really like my MB525. The only issue I had is the ear speaker seems to give problems.

Ha-ha, that is funny. Firstly i don't like the brand, and secondly i don't like the phone. But thanks for the advice.

The only reason someone wouldnt like the MB525 is because they haven't used one. But I still wouldnt recommend one because they are not shock resistant or very tough as advertised. The screen can crack very easily and Motorola SA can not repair them.

Mine fell off my lap from about 50cm high onto a tiled floor and that was the end of the screen.

Did it occur to you, that i don't like how the phone looks like. Which got nothing to do with functionality of the phone and using it.

So if functionality is not the issue, then why not stick with the Huawei?

What i'm trying to say is that i don't care what is the functionality if i don't like the look of it. But i do care about the functionality if i'm happy with the look. There is a tiny difference, don't know if you realize? Got my new Huawei today after meeting Cell_C (Armando). Will see how it goes. Really hope to be better then old one.

Sorry guys, been very busy last few days. Must say the phone behaves much better regarding battery. There are small glitches, like doesn't want to make a call from the first time and i had to call again, went once in to emergency mode only calls, but looks like is much better then the previous one. Again not sure if it is a cellphone itself or the network. But i believe it is still to early to say how it will go.
Kernel 2.6.32.9-perf, Baseband version 129005, Custom version is CUSTC190D001. Let us know Cell_C if there is a difference.

Hi, which one do you have? Maybe from the first batch. What problems do you have? At the moment i'm quite happy with my second one.

I have the U8800H if thats want you want to know. I had a few problem with the screen and then one day the screen just looked like it was leaking ink inside the screen. I have sent it in to be repaired but came back and i was told there was no spare parts and has to be replaced with a new unit. I wondering if it can be replaced be the Optimus Black?

    Howzit guys.

I've had my U8800H for almost two weeks now and thus far, no major complaints. Loving the phone.

The issue that i do have is the lack of availability of aftermarket accessories, i.e. Screen protector that fits, proper pouch or cover and car charger.

Is there perhaps a Huawei distributor or agent that will carry these items, specific to this phone?

Some advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Rudolf
