    To tell the truth, I've been using my VM sim for about a week now with no problems at all. I'm roaming on Vodacoms network and get speeds of anything between 200kb/s and 700kb/s.

    Funny though, when I use a Vodacom sim I only get 3G speeds but with my VM sim I get HSDPA speeds as well.

    So, the answer is: I'm over the moon. Yes, it does cost me 50c/MB but I'm using airtime I bought December 2006. Try carry over your data airtime with the other networks.

    Mine was the same. Previously I only got EDGE speeds with my Data Card when I was roaming on Vodacom. But now I get HSDPA speeds.

    Maybe a setting on your phone is set to lower speeds. I'm not sure.

    Nokia PC Suite you can change the speed from 115 to 470 and so on. You can choose between 10 different speed settings on PC Suite.If you right click on the task bar, the phone icon then you will get the settings there. Don't know much about D900 suite.

    200kbps and 700kbps. Id love to see hsdpa run at 5mbps for you to reach 700kb/s.

    Piesang - do you also have CellC in your vicinity? I get Edge on VM via CellC, HSDPA on Vodacom (with VC Sim), but cannot get better than Edge when roaming on Vodacom with my VM sim. My guess is that VC limits the VM speed if there is a CellC tower in the area.....

    If you read my post again you will see that is is 200kbps and 700kbps not kBps.

    700kbps = 87.5kBps
    5mbps = 640kBps

    kbps = kilobits per second
    kBps = kilobytes per second

    I'm sure you understand that. So what I said in my post is correct. Those are the speeds I get.

    If I do a network search the Data Card software picks up the following:

    Vodacom 2G, 3G
    MTN 2G, 3G
    Cell-C 2G

    So yes, I have Cell-C coverage. I also get EDGE on VM when I use Cell-C. Mine was slow all the time when I was roaming on Vodacom. I always got GPRS / EDGE speeds but now I get HSDPA speeds.
