I hope you guys can help, as I have been having some problems with a certain motherboard and its warranty.
In March 2008 I bought a brand-new Jetway HA03 motherboard from Esquire. And all was good, until the Southbridge promptly went and died after 18-months. I took it back to Esquire, which replaced it with a BA-130 Jetway no problem.
Fast forward another 18-months to the beginning of this week, and the Southbridge failed yet again. I have never over-clocked any of my boards, and I only have two SATA HDDs plugged in.
When I took it in yesterday I was promptly told the motherboard was out of warranty. Turns out the new motherboard that I received to replace the faulty one only had 6 months warranty carried over from the old one.
To me this sounds wrong. But I could be wrong in expecting that my purchased products be covered by full warranty.
Does anyone have the full facts for me? It would be much appreciated.
